Tree of Life Personal Care Home is dedicated to providing compassionate care and a supportive environment for our residents. We value teamwork, dependability, and a deep understanding of the needs of the elderly and chronically ill. Our culture emphasizes safety, clear communication, and the well-being of both our residents and our staff.
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will be the heart of our daily operations, providing essential assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), housekeeping, and meal services. This role is vital for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized atmosphere throughout the home. You will work closely with Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and the Administrator to ensure each resident receives personalized care, from hygiene and grooming to dressing and mobility assistance.
Your day will involve supporting residents with personal care needs, managing room tidiness, and ensuring food safety during meal preparation and service. You will also serve as a key communicator, relaying changes in resident conditions to the care team and maintaining respectful relationships with resident families. Success in this role requires a team player who is adaptable, safety-conscious, and committed to the highest standards of care.
To join our team, candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED. While experience in a long-term healthcare setting and a ServSafe certification are preferred, a genuine understanding of elderly care and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team are essential. This position is safety-sensitive; therefore, candidates must successfully complete FBI fingerprints, National Sex Offender Registry checks, PA State Criminal History checks, and PA Child Abuse clearances prior to hire, with physical assessments required every two years.
Tree of Life Personal Care Home is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, disability, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, sexual orientation, age, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
