Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD) prepares young people with disabilities for meaningful, self-directed lives and helps employers build workplaces where people communicate clearly, work efficiently, and feel supported. PYD emphasizes the need for a holistic ecosystem where both youth and institutions are aligned, ready, and resourced to thrive together.
Personal Care Assistant (PCA) positions are available for the 2026 Massachusetts Youth Leadership Forum (YLF), hosted by PYD at Emerson College from June 25-29, 2026. PCAs will work as part of the YLF Team to support young people with disabilities (ages 16-21) attending the forum. Participants will stay overnight and receive support from PCAs, YLF staff, and nursing personnel.
Daytime and overnight positions are available. PCAs will aid youth during YLF activities and assist with transitions between dormitory, cafeteria, classroom, and forum spaces on the Emerson College campus and Boston Common. This role is designed to empower youth to advocate for their needs and rights while supporting their socialization with peers in alignment with program goals.
A second YLF is scheduled for Worcester in early August, with hiring for those positions to follow once dates are finalized.
Applicants must pass a background check and provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Experience working with youth with disabilities is preferred.
PYD is committed to creating a supportive environment for all participants and staff.
