At BDO, our purpose of helping people thrive every day is at the heart of everything we do. As the first large accounting and advisory organization to implement an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), we reflect a culture that puts people first by sharing financially in our growth with our U.S. team. We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences to middle-market leaders, combining industry knowledge with an unwavering commitment to quality.
Our culture is centered around making meaningful connections, approaching interactions with curiosity, and being true to yourself. We welcome diverse perspectives, empower team members to explore their full potential, and celebrate ingenuity to transform our business and help our clients navigate complex challenges.
The People & Culture Meeting Planning Manager serves as a strategic partner in planning and administering firm-sponsored events. This role exists to ensure that every gathering reflects BDO's values of impact and individuality, from the initial concept to the final post-event evaluation. You will be the driving force behind developing event budgets, negotiating contracts with service providers, and managing on-site logistics to create seamless experiences for internal clients.
In this position, you will collaborate with business lines and People & Culture to define event objectives and scope. Your day will involve coordinating complex logistics—including venues, travel, catering, and technology—while ensuring strict compliance with firm guidelines and regulations. You will manage the full lifecycle of an event, from developing participant communications and managing registration to resolving on-site issues and analyzing feedback for continuous improvement. This role requires a professional who can thrive in a demanding, deadline-driven environment, effectively diagnosing unexpected issues, and building consensus among diverse groups.
Candidates are invited to apply with a resume highlighting their event planning experience. The selection process typically involves a review of qualifications followed by interviews to assess cultural fit and technical expertise in event management.
BDO is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and veterans. We are committed to understanding the experience of our professionals and clients and fostering an environment where everyone can succeed.
