Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida, newly Magnet Designated with Distinction, is home to the Critical Care Transport Team. This specialized unit operates on a mission to bring critical care to the smallest, most vulnerable patients, ensuring that life-saving support reaches them when and where they need it most. The team extends the walls of the hospital, delivering expert care across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.
As a Pediatric/Neonatal Critical Care RN, you will be the vital link in a high-acuity environment, delivering advanced care during ground transport. This role is designed for those who thrive in dynamic situations, requiring rapid assessment, stabilization, and intervention for critically ill infants and children. You will collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and EMS teams to ensure seamless continuity of care, serving as a clinical leader, educator, and patient advocate.
This position is more than just a nursing shift; it is an opportunity to make a difference every mile matters. You will work within a culture built on compassion, respect, and teamwork, dedicated to providing exceptional patient and family experiences while adhering to ANA standards and the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Qualified candidates will be invited to complete a competency assessment to demonstrate their readiness for the specialized demands of the transport team. Specific department requirements and addendums should be reviewed during the application process to ensure alignment with the role's unique needs.
