This position serves as a Registered Nurse within the Radiation Oncology department at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, Colorado. You will support regularly scheduled procedural services by providing direct, proficient patient care using the nursing process. Your work will be guided by the organization's policies, values, and mission, ensuring a safe environment that optimizes patient outcomes and maximizes available resources.
In this fast-paced environment, you will provide specialized nursing to a complex patient population. The role requires critical thinking and decisive judgment to handle life-threatening situations with efficiency and composure. You will be responsible for performing and documenting pre/post-procedural monitoring, communicating patient conditions, and implementing safety checklists. Additionally, you will evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, and condition.
This is an onsite role with a full-time schedule (80 hours per pay period) on the day shift. The position requires the ability to work with minimal supervision and take appropriate action in critical moments.
