Our Rad Oncology team at Metro Denver provides specialized nursing care to a complex patient population within a fast-paced environment.
This onsite Registered Nurse position supports regularly scheduled procedural services at the UCHealth Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. You will provide direct patient care at a proficient level, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Your mission is to monitor patients to maintain a safe environment, optimize outcomes, and maximize available resources.
In this role, you will perform and document pre/post-procedural monitoring, communicate patient conditions, and ensure all safety checklists and interventions are implemented. You will be responsible for responding to life-threatening situations with decisiveness, efficiency, and composure while adhering to nursing standards and protocols. Additionally, you will evaluate the learning needs of patients and families, providing education appropriate to their age, culture, and condition.
