The Department of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a vibrant academic community dedicated to advancing pediatric care and education. The Pediatric Gastroenterology division currently comprises eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive care. As a member of this team, you will join a robust academic environment with a large residency program, including 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents who rotate through the gastroenterology program.
This full-time position invites a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our Division in the Inland Empire of Southern California. The role is designed for an excellent clinician and teacher who is passionate about patient care and academic mentorship. You will provide clinical care to pediatric gastroenterology patients while fulfilling teaching responsibilities for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the pediatric residency program.
The division serves a vast tertiary care referral center spanning Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. You will work within a state-of-the-art facility featuring a full-time endoscopy lab, general motility studies, bio-feedback programs, and specialized team center clinics. These clinics support complex cases including intestinal failure (home TPN), enteral feeding tube management, inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, spina bifida, home mechanical ventilation, and liver disease. The team is supported by a nurse specialist, dietician, social worker, and administrative staff. While there is no liver transplant program on-site, the team co-manages pre- and post-liver transplant care with regional institutions.
Candidates with experience or an interest in motility disorders are preferred, and the position offers ample opportunities for both basic and clinical research.
The Inland Empire offers the lifestyle perks of Southern California with more affordable living expenses. Please note that a California residency is required upon your start date. This opportunity is not eligible for a Conrad 30 Waiver.
Interested candidates should submit their application materials for review. Compensation details, including base salary and variable compensation, are discussed directly with the department during the recruitment process.
