The Department of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a vibrant academic community serving the Inland Empire of Southern California. Our Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology currently consists of eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. As a tertiary care referral center, we span Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties, supporting a large and diverse patient population.
Our facility includes a state-of-the-art endoscopy lab at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, offering advanced procedures such as general motility studies, bio-feedback programs, IB Stim, breath hydrogen studies, and esophageal pH studies. A full-time anesthesia service supports these procedures. The division operates specialized team-center clinics for complex conditions including intestinal failure (home TPN), inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, spina bifida, and liver disease. These clinics are bolstered by a dedicated team of nurse specialists, dieticians, social workers, and administrative staff.
Academically, the division is integral to a robust training environment, hosting 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents. The hospital is a major teaching site for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, offering ample opportunities for both basic and clinical research.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our full-time faculty. This role is designed for an excellent clinician and teacher who is passionate about advancing pediatric care in the region. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to pediatric gastroenterology patients while fulfilling teaching responsibilities for medical students and residents.
While experience or interest in motility disorders is preferred, the position offers a dynamic environment where you can shape the future of pediatric gastroenterology through mentorship and research. The role is based in the Inland Empire, an area that offers the lifestyle perks of Southern California with more affordable living expenses.
Candidates interested in this opportunity should submit their application materials for review. The recruitment process involves discussions regarding compensation, which is adjusted based on years of experience and faculty rank. Specific details on compensation plans and variable compensation are shared directly with candidates during the recruitment phase.
