The Department of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a vibrant academic community dedicated to advancing pediatric care and education. The Pediatric Gastroenterology division currently consists of eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care. As a member of this team, you will join a large residency program featuring 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents, offering a dynamic environment for clinical teaching and mentorship.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our full-time faculty. This role is designed for an excellent clinician and teacher who is passionate about pediatric care. You will provide clinical care to patients across the Inland Empire of Southern California, teaching responsibilities for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine, and the pediatric residency program. The position offers ample opportunities for both basic and clinical research. Experience or interest in motility disorders is preferred.
The division provides comprehensive gastroenterology and nutrition services to patients in Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. Our state-of-the-art endoscopy lab at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital supports all endoscopic procedures, general motility studies, bio-feedback programs, IB Stim, breath hydrogen studies, and esophageal pH studies, with full-time anesthesia services available. The team center clinics care for patients with complex conditions including intestinal failure (home TPN), enteral feeding tubes, inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, spina bifida, home mechanical ventilation, and liver disease. While there is no liver transplant program on-site, the team co-manages pre- and post-liver transplant care with regional institutions.
