The Department of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a vibrant academic community dedicated to advancing pediatric care and education. The Pediatric Gastroenterology division currently comprises eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive care. As a member of the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, you will join a team that supports a robust residency program with 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents, offering a dynamic environment for clinical excellence and teaching.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our full-time division. This role is designed for an excellent clinician and teacher who is passionate about pediatric care and academic medicine. You will provide clinical care to patients across the Inland Empire of Southern California, which includes Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. The division serves as a tertiary care referral center, offering specialized services for complex conditions such as intestinal failure (home TPN), inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, spina bifida, home mechanical ventilation, and liver disease.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve utilizing state-of-the-art facilities at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, including a full-time endoscopy lab with anesthesia support, motility studies, bio-feedback programs, and pH studies. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in teaching medical students and residents. The position also offers ample opportunities for both basic and clinical research, with a particular interest in motility disorders.
