The Department of Pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is a vibrant academic community dedicated to advancing pediatric care and education. The Pediatric Gastroenterology division currently comprises eight Pediatric Gastroenterologists and a Nurse Practitioner, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive gastroenterology and nutrition services to the Inland Empire region of Southern California.
Loma Linda University Medical Center and Children's Hospital serve as a tertiary care referral center for Riverside, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. The division operates within a robust ecosystem supported by a nurse specialist, a dietician, a social worker, and administrative staff. The hospital features a state-of-the-art endoscopy lab offering general motility studies, bio-feedback programs, IB Stim, breath hydrogen studies, and esophageal pH studies, all backed by a full-time anesthesia service.
The division is deeply integrated with the university's educational mission, supporting a large residency program with 84 pediatric residents and 16 Med-Peds residents. This environment fosters ample opportunities for both basic and clinical research, ensuring that clinical excellence is matched by academic rigor.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our full-time team. This role is designed for an excellent clinician and teacher who thrives in a collaborative, academic setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex conditions, including intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease, cystic fibrosis, and liver disease.
A significant component of this position involves teaching responsibilities for the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and the pediatric residency program. The role offers the chance to mentor the next generation of pediatricians while engaging in a diverse patient population. While experience or interest in motility disorders is preferred, the primary focus is on delivering compassionate, comprehensive care within a supportive team environment.
