About the Role
This Payroll Specialist position is based in our Brooklyn, NY facility, supporting a non-clinical team environment. The role is critical for maintaining the integrity of our financial operations, specifically focusing on the audit aspects of hospital billing, accounts receivable, and payable, alongside non-financial and clinical areas.
You will serve as the bridge between department timekeepers and the payroll system, ensuring that every biweekly pay cycle is processed with precision. Your day-to-day involves reviewing KRONOS timecards, reconciling complex after-payroll reports, and managing voluntary deductions, tax withholdings, garnishments, and child support levies. Beyond processing, you will act as a resource for employees, assisting them with payroll-related inquiries and working closely with Human Resources to maintain accurate systems for both hourly and salaried staff.
Hiring Process
Candidates meeting the minimum requirements of two years of audit experience and specific UKG proficiency will be contacted for an initial screening. Successful applicants will proceed to a technical assessment focused on payroll reconciliation and audit procedures, followed by a team fit interview with the finance leadership.
