As a PRN Food Service team member at the Avera Behavioral Health Center, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care through excellent nutrition services. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are ready to adapt to varying shift schedules, including rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Your day will involve a blend of culinary support and logistical coordination. You will be responsible for preparing food items for patients, the cafeteria, and catering functions, ensuring all meals meet established standards for quality, sanitation, and efficiency. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to accurately traying food for patients and delivering these meals according to strict time schedules. Additionally, you will manage kitchen operations by putting away storeroom stock, pushing carts to units, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
In this role, you are also the face of our Food and Nutrition Services. You will deliver excellent customer service by utilizing our developed scripts and making thoughtful recommendations to leadership regarding menus. If the role includes driving duties, you will utilize a company vehicle to deliver products, requiring a valid driver's license and adherence to all safety principles.
