About the Role
The Patient Care Coordinator serves as a vital link within the SouthPark Gastroenterology team, ensuring the physician's plan of care is executed accurately and on time. This full-time position supports the team Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with the flexibility to work across different Tryon office locations as needed.
In this role, you will coordinate referrals with physicians, hospitals, and community services, while managing patient scheduling for follow-up visits. You will act as a primary point of contact for patients, assisting them with questions regarding delivery system access and ensuring their medical records are seamlessly shared to support continuous care. The position requires a high level of attention to detail to manage complex forms, requisitions, and insurance authorizations, ensuring all documentation is completed and filed appropriately within the EHR system.
