About the Role

The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients across our outpatient and Emergency Department locations. This role is responsible for the entire scope of the registration process, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment a patient arrives. You will act as a bridge between patients, clinical departments, and revenue cycle teams, coordinating to ensure excellent patient experiences, clean claim submissions, and timely payment for services.

In this position, you will greet and direct patients and visitors, providing friendly and courteous service to the community and co-workers. Your day will involve verifying insurance, collecting point-of-service payments, and utilizing technologies like the Welcome Kiosk and "On My Way" to monitor the patient journey. You will also promote the use of the MyChart patient portal to help patients engage personally in their healthcare. Occasional travel between campuses or regional locations may be required to support network needs.
