St. Luke's is proud of the skills, experience, and compassion of its employees, who are our most valuable asset. Individually and together, our team is dedicated to satisfying the mission of our organization: an unwavering commitment to excellence as we care for the sick and injured, educate physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers, and improve access to care in the communities we serve. This commitment holds regardless of a patient's ability to pay for healthcare.
The Patient Access Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients across our outpatient and Emergency Department locations. This role is responsible for the entire scope of the registration process, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment a patient arrives. You will act as a guardian of data integrity, correctly identifying patients and maintaining the accuracy of electronic medical records while coordinating with clinical departments and revenue cycle teams to ensure clean claim submissions and timely payment for services.
In this position, you will greet and direct patients and visitors, providing friendly and courteous service to the community and co-workers. Your day-to-day involves guiding patients through our technology, including the Welcome Kiosk and "On My Way" systems, and promoting the use of the MyChart patient portal to encourage personal engagement in their healthcare journey. You will also manage complex administrative tasks such as verifying insurance, collecting point-of-service payments, and obtaining necessary prior authorizations to prevent claim denials.
To apply, please complete your application using your full legal name and current home address. Be sure to include your employment history for the past seven (7) years, including your present employer. We encourage you to upload a current resume detailing all work history, education, certifications, and licenses. It is highly recommended that you create a profile at the conclusion of submitting your first application.
