Louisburg Medical Pavilion is part of a larger health system dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care. As a key member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team, the Patient Access Representative plays a vital role in ensuring the front office operates smoothly, serving as the primary liaison between patients and medical support staff.
This position is designed to ensure efficient patient flow and deliver high-quality customer service from the moment a patient arrives. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients in a prompt and courteous manner while managing the administrative backbone of the clinic. Your day will involve verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance information, scheduling and coordinating appointments, and handling financial transactions such as collecting copays and balancing daily payments. Beyond administrative duties, you will assist patients with scheduling specialist appointments, communicating with insurance companies regarding referrals, and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the front desk and waiting area. Success in this role requires the ability to perform professional and technical competencies specific to the assigned unit while accurately entering clinical information into the electronic medical record.
