The Patient Access Representative 1 serves as the vital first point of contact for patients at the UHealth Medical Campus. In this on-site role, you will ensure a favorable first impression and a positive patient experience by projecting a welcoming professional demeanor. You will interact effectively with patients of all ages and the broader healthcare team to coordinate a wide range of functions from pre-arrival to discharge.
You will navigate a fast-paced, constantly changing environment using multiple systems simultaneously, including EPIC MyChart, Grand Central ADT, Cadence, and others. Your day will involve registering patients for clinical services, verifying insurance benefits, collecting payments, and assisting patients in navigating self-serve technology options like MyChart and self-check-in kiosks. You will act as a gatekeeper for insurance verification and referrals while conducting critical communication to facilitate the understanding and signing of essential legal, ethical, and compliance documents prior to services being rendered.
