The Patient Access Associate serves as the first point of contact, greeting patients and guests in a courteous manner while initiating the scheduling or check-in process. You will obtain and verify accurate identification and demographic data to ensure the integrity of the patient's permanent medical record, which is critical for accurate reimbursement and maintaining confidentiality. Your interactions will span face-to-face point-of-service encounters, telephone calls, web-enabled platforms, and interpretative services to complete the patient registration and admission process.
You will interact with patients, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and other clinic and hospital personnel, consistently representing LCMC Health professionally to improve patient satisfaction. This position requires cross-training to support multiple functions across all patient and payer types. You will demonstrate actions consistent with LCMC Health's "Expectations" in your daily duties.
Where You Will Work
This role is flexible, floating to various Specialty and Primary Care clinics to provide care in a variety of settings and specialties. You will work PRN/Flex hours with clinic availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The position requires travel to the Greater New Orleans area and other locations.
