About the Role
As a Parts Driver at Kearny Mesa Chevrolet, you serve as a vital link between our parts department and our customers, service centers, and repair shops. Your primary mission is to ensure that the right automotive parts and equipment are delivered safely and on time, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and operational accuracy.
In this role, you will navigate various weather conditions and road environments to transport parts securely. Your day involves verifying delivery orders, managing cash-on-delivery transactions, and maintaining detailed logs of all activities. You will interact professionally with clients and service personnel, resolving any delivery discrepancies with a focus on customer satisfaction. Additionally, you are responsible for the routine care of the company vehicle, ensuring it remains clean, fueled, and in good working order.

- check_circleVerify accuracy of delivery orders and ensure parts are securely loaded and unloaded
- check_circleComplete delivery paperwork including receipts, invoices, and detailed delivery logs
- check_circleObtain customer signatures upon delivery and handle necessary paperwork for returns or exchanges
- check_circleAssist in loading and unloading parts from the delivery vehicle
- check_circleEnsure parts are properly organized and secured in the vehicle to prevent damage during transit
- check_circlePerform routine checks and maintenance on the delivery vehicle including monitoring fuel levels

Requirements
- verifiedAt least one year of verifiable driving experience
- verified2 years of experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role

Nice to Have
Skilled in driving safely under various weather conditions. Proficient in using navigation tools, including onboard GPS systems, smartphone apps, and/or both web-based and physical maps. Capable of planning efficient delivery routes and managing delivery manifests. Adept at maintaining accurate logs and records. Able to follow instructions independently without needing constant supervision. Possess excellent customer service skills, always maintaining professionalism and courtesy. Strong organizational abilities and a solid understanding of automotive components and their roles within a vehicle.
