This position serves as the leadership anchor for a comprehensive school counseling program, dedicated to fostering the psychological, academic, and social development of students. The role is designed to coordinate the implementation of district-wide initiatives while acting as the primary liaison between the Counseling Services department, campus leadership, and the broader community.
In this capacity, you will drive a culture of growth and trust, ensuring that counseling initiatives align with the district's student learning goals. The position requires a strategic approach to monitoring program effectiveness, managing data submission to the Texas Education Agency, and facilitating professional development for faculty and staff. You will be the central point of contact for all stakeholders, bridging the gap between elementary, middle, and high school transitions, and guiding students toward College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR).
Working within the Dallas Independent School District, this role supports a network of counselors and administrators committed to creating a positive, caring climate. The mission centers on utilizing the ASCA National Model and the Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs to deliver high-quality guidance from PK through 12th grade. The team focuses on character education, social-emotional learning, and restorative practices to reduce dropout rates and enhance student success.
Selected candidates for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. Please note that a campus-based employee may not assume a new position until the end of the current semester unless approved by the chief officer of Human Capital Management.
