About the Role
TeamHealth is seeking a quality-driven physician to join our post-acute care team in Huntsville, Alabama. This part-time opportunity (1 day/week) offers the chance to provide medical directorship in a skilled nursing facility with excellent support, training, autonomy, and earning potential. You will deliver exceptional care during life's pivotal moments, collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
The medical practice is part of TeamACO, a dedicated long-term Accountable Care Organization participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program. This structure allows clinicians to potentially receive a portion of shared savings if certain criteria are met. Additionally, our Medical Director Leadership Academy (MDLA) positions you for success in quality improvement initiatives and collaboration with facility leadership. This best-in-class educational program is unique to TeamHealth and not provided by other organizations practicing post-acute medicine.

Our comprehensive clinical and operational leadership team supports your transition into our medical practice with a 3-month onboarding program, a dedicated clinical field mentor, and support from industry-leading experts. We utilize innovative population health data reports to guide you toward optimal and timely care. Growth and leadership opportunities within this market are available, and medical directorship roles include monthly stipends alongside fee-for-service compensation.
