About the Role
As an Engineer at our property, you are the guardian of our facility's comfort and safety. This role exists to ensure that every guest enjoys a seamless stay by maintaining the physical integrity of the hotel. Your day involves responding to guest repair requests, executing preventative maintenance schedules, and conducting full property walks to identify and resolve issues before they impact the guest experience.
You will work in a dynamic environment where a "can-do" attitude is essential. Whether you are fixing a leak, ensuring pool and spa areas meet health codes, or collaborating with housekeeping to maintain a spotless workspace, your work directly influences guest satisfaction scores. You are expected to greet guests with a smile and a name, even while performing maintenance tasks, embodying our commitment to hospitality while cleaning.
Hiring Process
Candidates with a technical, trade, or vocational school degree and at least two years of experience in commercial facilities or hospitality are encouraged to apply. We look for individuals who demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to follow guidelines, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleRespond to guest repair requests and document completion via the electronic work order platform
- check_circleRespond to emergency situations using information from Material Safety Data sheets
- check_circleReport emergency or life safety concerns immediately to the supervisor and General Manager
- check_circleMaintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas during and prior to shift departure
- check_circleConduct full property walks at the start and end of each shift to identify and document maintenance needs
- check_circleExecute preventative maintenance on rooms and public spaces according to the hotel PM program
- check_circleEnsure all safety measures and health codes are followed for pool, spa, and general areas
Requirements
- verifiedTechnical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred
- verifiedAt least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred
- verifiedMust be 18 years of age or older
- verifiedAbility to lift 50+ lbs
- verifiedRead, write, understand and communicate in English
