About the Opportunity

DW Freeze Services, Inc. is an Independent Service Provider for FedEx Ground seeking motivated drivers to generate income by delivering small packages. Based out of the Norfolk, VA terminal, this role focuses on providing excellent customer service and delivery operations primarily within Virginia Beach, with routes conducted in Virginia.

The Role

This position is ideal for individuals who own their own SUV or minivan and are looking to earn extra income on weekends, though additional weekday routes are available for those willing to work both weekend days. You will utilize your own vehicle to deliver packages ranging from envelopes up to 25 lbs. No prior experience is necessary; we are looking for high-energy, customer-focused individuals who are motivated and willing to learn. On-the-job training is provided for qualified candidates.

Compensation

Drivers can earn a minimum of $120 per day based on the number of stops, which is dependent on work ethic, ability, and vehicle size. Mileage is paid in addition to the daily rate.

Hiring Process

Candidates must meet FedEx hiring standards and all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory requirements. The selection process includes verifying that you possess a valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and can safely operate delivery vehicles. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have no DUIs, and have no more than one minor ticket in the past three years.

Vehicle Requirements

To participate, you must own a vehicle that is 14 years old or newer. While larger SUVs or minivans are preferred, other vehicles may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Your vehicle must have current registration, state inspection, and insurance, and maintain a generally clean and serviceable appearance. You must also have a smartphone or tablet with data connectivity to operate the delivery scanner and track the process.
