Part-Time CDL Driver

About the Role

As a PODS Driver, you are the face of our company at customer locations. Your primary mission is to ensure the safe, efficient, and incident-free delivery and pickup of containers, maintaining excellent rapport with every client you serve. You will operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism, navigating customer sites to load and unload containers while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Your day involves a blend of driving, equipment operation, and customer service. You will coordinate rental paperwork and payments directly with customers, using a handheld computer for delivery verification and navigation. Beyond driving, you are responsible for the maintenance of your equipment, performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the truck and lift, and conducting field repairs on containers and lifts as needed. You may also operate forklifts or overhead cranes and provide backup support for storage center functions when required.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role must be prepared to attend a mandatory 2-week New Hire Driver Training Program. The position requires a valid CDL Class B License (without air brake restriction) and the ability to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate within one year. Applicants must be at least 21 years old to meet insurance requirements and must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
