About the Role
Amentum is seeking Paralegals to join our Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA/Downwinders) claims team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming materials supporting claims filed under RECA. You will evaluate evidence to verify that claims meet statutory criteria while serving as a key communication link between the case team and claimants.
In this position, you will follow specific guidance and standard operating procedures to process legal documents, review them for correct form and timeliness, and maintain detailed case files. Your day-to-day work involves compiling case materials, retrieving and assembling documents and affidavits, and conducting both technical and legal research. The role demands the ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure while managing standardized forms and complex legal records.
