This posting is not an active recruitment. It serves as an intern pool for County departments to request a list of candidates when specific needs arise. Applying to this pool does not guarantee placement.
The Educational Support Team utilizes this pool to select candidates for internships that may not require a separate, active recruitment posting. Candidates are selected based on their scope of interest, education, and alignment with departmental needs.
Student Interns are current undergraduate or graduate students, or recent graduates, employed by County departments. Through this program, you will receive supervised work experience in a specific professional vocation, such as accounting, administration, law, human resources, planning, probation, or social work. You will participate in the actual duties and responsibilities assigned to professional employees, receiving in-service training through direct participation.
As an intern, you will assist and participate in the day-to-day work of professional staff. Your role may involve special research, studies, surveys, and investigations, including the compilation, tabulation, and analysis of data. You may also assist in preparing briefs, reports, evaluations, specifications, and plans. Additionally, you might attend divisional and departmental staff meetings to provide reports on observations and suggestions regarding various aspects of the department and program.
This recruitment is open to all applicants currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university within the past twelve months. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required. You must include a current resume and your most recent unofficial or official transcript (showing the cumulative GPA) as attachments at the time of application to be considered.
We encourage you to continue checking the website and applying directly to positions that become available as active recruitments. Applicants meeting specific department requirements may be referred at any time to fulfill department requests.
