About the Role
As an Owner Operator with NY Prime, you will drive dry van loads across the nation (OTR). This role is designed for drivers who value independence; we offer no forced dispatch, allowing you to choose your own loads. You can expect to average 3,000 to 3,500 miles per week, with 90% of loads being dedicated. The position includes no driver load or unload duties, giving you more time on the road.
Home Time & Lifestyle
Our typical schedule keeps you out for 7 to 14 days, though you are free to stay out longer if you prefer. We ensure you are home for at least two weekends per month, balancing your professional goals with family time.
Hiring Process & Orientation
To join our team, you must hold a Class A license without restrictions for night driving or semi-trailers, and possess at least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience. Your truck must be no older than 15 years.
Once selected, you will attend an orientation where accommodation is covered in your own room. While meals are not included, we cover some or all of your travel expenses. Please note that the orientation itself is not paid.
