Our Ambulatory Surgery Center at Spivey Station is seeking an Outpatient Surgery Charge Nurse with Operating Room (OR) and Endoscopy experience. As a Registered Charge Nurse, you will be an integral member of an inter-professional team committed to outstanding patient care.
You will plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the Operating Room, supervising staff and facilitating communication between the Operating Room, Interventional Radiology, and Endoscopy. Recognized as a change agent and expert clinician, you will lead efforts to strengthen organizational systems that support the department's mission and values. Your role involves mentoring other Registered Nurses, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of open, candid communication. You will also actively participate in regulatory reviews, budget planning, and the development of leadership-focused in-services.
The Ambulatory Surgery Center at Spivey Station features 3 Operating Rooms and 4 Minor Procedure Rooms. The nursing scope of practice covers a wide range of specialties including GI, Physiatry, Orthopedics, General, ENT, GYN, Urology, Podiatry, and Pediatrics. The team operates on a schedule that includes Pre-op (6a-2:30p), OR (7a-3:30p), and PACU (8a-4:30p) shifts, with hours potentially varying based on case needs. Please note that travel to other Emory ASCs is required for this position.
