As an Optometric Technician I at Vision Health Specialties in Midland, TX, you are the foundation of our patient experience. You will execute a flawless patient journey, bridging the gap between clinical needs and compassionate service.
In this full-time, non-exempt role, you will work under the guidance of the Optometrist or Location Manager to manage the flow of the clinic. Your day involves pre-screening patients, gathering medical histories, and administering diagnostic tests before they meet the doctor. You will be the first point of contact for many, greeting patients, answering phones, and coordinating schedules to minimize delays. Beyond clinical support, you will educate patients on insurance coverage, vision benefits, and proper contact lens care, while accurately documenting exams and posting charges.
