About the Role

We are seeking an Operations Third-Party (TPA) Vendor Governance Analyst to play a key role in overseeing Third-Party Administrators responsible for life insurance policy administration. This position actively monitors vendor performance, leads governance routines, and maintains critical oversight documentation. The analyst drives timely issue resolution and remediation, partnering closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure consistent service delivery and strong adherence to regulatory, contractual, and company standards.

Work Model

This position offers a flexible work schedule. It may be fully remote or hybrid. If you are located near one of our offices (e.g., Charlotte, NC; Syracuse, NY), a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site per week is expected to foster collaboration and connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleAnalyze TPA performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations to identify trends and risks
  • check_circleMaintain governance artifacts such as issue logs, risk trackers, and decision records for auditability
  • check_circleSupport operational risk management by coordinating SOC report reviews and audit requests
  • check_circlePartner with sourcing and procurement stakeholders to support contract renewals and amendments
  • check_circleGenerate billing reports and reconcile payments for fees collected from funds under management
  • check_circleFacilitate Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews including data validation and action item tracking
  • check_circleReconcile vendor billing and process monthly and annual accruals for operations
  • check_circleIdentify opportunities to improve governance processes and document procedural enhancements
  • check_circlePerform initial assessment and triage of operational issues while monitoring remediation plans

Requirements

  • verifiedHS Diploma or equivalent
  • verified2+ years of experience in vendor governance, operations analytics, third-party risk/controls, insurance operations or related role
  • verifiedProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, lookups, basic data validation) and PowerPoint

Nice to Have

Advanced degree. Experience with life insurance operations, policy administration, and/or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) operating models. Familiarity with vendor governance practices (e.g., KPI/SLA design, scorecards, QBR/MBR operating cadence, and issue/action management). Experience supporting SOC report review, audits, risk assessments, and/or control testing in partnership with risk/compliance functions. Continuous improvement mindset.
