This position serves as a critical leader for our Distillery and Cistern Room operations, responsible for the day-to-day productivity, cost management, quality, safety, and employee morale of the night shift (11 pm – 7 am, Sunday through Thursday). You will lead and coach a team of up to 18 Distillery and Cistern Room Operators, ensuring that daily and weekly production activities are scheduled effectively and that duties are assigned with precision.
Your day will involve more than just supervision; you will partner with Maintenance, Quality Control, and Finance to drive continuous improvement. From investigating equipment failures and performing root cause analysis to managing inventory counts and overseeing the delivery of Cistern Tanks to the warehouse, you will ensure operations meet established standards. You will also play a key role in the plant's maintenance program, coordinating capital projects and managing labor costs within departmental budgets.

Education in Chemical Engineering; 5 or more years of manufacturing experience in a union environment; knowledge of operation/maintenance of boilers; familiarity with motors, pumps, and associated process related equipment; inventory management of grains and chemicals; barrel filling/cistern experience; knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems; knowledge of chemistry and physics as applied to distillery, plant, and power.
