As an Operations or Building Engineer with Hines, you will be the backbone of our property's daily functionality. You will maintain the basic operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems, routinely reviewing operating conditions to resolve any abnormal issues. This role is critical to ensuring that our facilities remain safe, efficient, and comfortable for tenants and visitors alike.
In this position, you will partner with the Supervisor to understand and resolve operational challenges, applying your working knowledge of HVAC distribution and controls to make necessary adjustments. You will be the first point of contact for tenant requests, providing prompt and courteous responses while maintaining ethical and professional relations with contractors. Your day will involve a blend of technical precision and team collaboration, as you work alongside the entire operation staff to uphold the highest standards of building performance.
You will also play a vital role in safety and emergency preparedness. Demonstrating full competency in Hines and property emergency procedures, you will assist with directing building occupants during evacuations, managing life safety system alarms, and supporting emergency authorities. Your commitment to safety extends to adhering to all policies and ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
