About the Role
The Operations Manager serves as a strategic leader responsible for establishing and executing company strategy related to domestic and international freight movements. This role requires a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices to drive growth and profitability.
In this position, you will recruit, develop, and motivate staff to provide a world-class customer experience that meets or exceeds client expectations. You will ensure the station has the necessary tools to succeed and expand business levels in international product lines in a sustained fashion. Your day-to-day involves working with current and prospective logistics service providers and internal AIT functions to develop the best overall strategy. You will execute these strategies by establishing, measuring, and managing applicable metrics with service providers, vendors, and internal functions to ensure the timely and efficient flow of product for AIT. Additionally, you will actively support key account operations requirements, build rapport with clients to develop new opportunities, and provide coaching and mentoring to employees in a broad global environment.
