Located in Tallahassee, this Operations and Management Consultant Manager-SES position serves as a critical leadership role within the Division of State Lands. You will act as the Division's Disaster Coordinator, providing leadership and coordination for disaster response and recovery efforts, ensuring FEMA compliance, and managing cost and damage reporting processes. Beyond disaster management, you will supervise and oversee revenue activities, including billing, collection, and reporting, while coordinating with DEP District personnel and legal counsel on accounts requiring legal action.
The role involves managing a team of employees, from planning and directing their work to evaluating performance and exercising authority over hiring, promotions, and discipline. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining revenue collection procedures, analyzing data to identify deficiencies, and providing revenue projections for the Internal Improvement Trust Fund. This position requires sound independent judgment to resolve complex problems and advise management on proposed rule and policy amendments.
