Eaton's ES AMER PCS division operates within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in the Caribbean, supplying the global market with critical products. The team functions as a vital link between network planning and factory execution, managing complex material flows and production schedules to support a dynamic customer base with a low percentage of local suppliers.
The Operation Material Manager serves as the primary point of contact for escalations related to the execution of the overall SIOP (Sales and Operations Planning) plan. This role is designed to drive maximum adherence to the Master Production Schedule while ensuring compliance with all company rules, policies, and programs.
In this position, you will lead a team of seven to manage internal materials, scheduling processes, and inventory transactions. Your day-to-day involves deploying lean material flow strategies, administering indirect and MRO purchasing, and generating short-term production schedules aligned with network plans. You will monitor factory floor execution, manage labor scheduling, and champion continuous improvement initiatives using tools like value stream mapping and visual management.
As a leader, you will be responsible for maintaining data health across routings and the WMS system, ensuring inventory accuracy, and meeting on-time delivery (OTD) goals for both internal and external customers. The role also requires acting as the GTM (Global Trade Management) Site Coordinator, handling customs, transportation scheduling, and ensuring compliance with government inquiries and safety regulations.
