About the Role
This position is designed for a passionate Operating Room RN to join the North Texas Float Pool, floating between the Surgery Center of Plano and McKinney Surgery Center. This role exists to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients undergoing ambulatory surgery, from the initial instrument setup through to the transfer to recovery.
In this position, you will serve as a vital link in the surgical team, contributing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. Your day will involve overseeing instrument and equipment setup, anticipating surgeon needs, and facilitating efficient transitions between procedures. You will coordinate room activities, manage patient care and medications (including anesthesia assistance), and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate. A key part of your mission is utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury while moving patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the surgical journey.
