About the Role
Jump-start your career as an Operating Room RN Float Pool with North Texas Float Pool. This role is designed for passionate nurses who want to contribute their expertise in circulating or scrub roles to ambulatory surgery centers across the region.
As a member of our team, you will ensure safe and effective nursing care from the moment a patient enters your care until they are transferred to recovery. You will be an amazing addition to our team by demonstrating our core values and helping facilitate effective transitions between surgical procedures.
Location Context
Candidates in the Float Pool will travel to Calloway, Ft. Worth, Denton, Alliance, Southlake, and Trinity Park areas to support various facilities.

- check_circleOversee instrument and equipment set-up for the OR using preference cards
- check_circleManage patient care and medication including assistance with anesthesia
- check_circleReview patient charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols
- check_circleUtilize appropriate body mechanics when moving patients to prevent injury
- check_circleCoordinate and oversee the room during surgical cases as the circulator
- check_circleFacilitate effective and efficient transitions between surgical procedures
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- verifiedMinimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting
- verifiedActive RN license
- verifiedValid BCLS Certification
- verifiedACLS as required by facility
- verifiedPALS may be required
- verifiedCNOR certification preferred
