This position offers a unique opportunity to jump-start your career as an Operating Room RN in an ambulatory surgery center. You will be an integral part of a team that values the patient experience, contributing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. Your primary focus will be ensuring safe and effective nursing care from the moment you take over a patient until they are transferred to recovery.
In this role, you will oversee instrument and equipment setup, utilizing preference cards to anticipate surgeons' needs. You will coordinate the room during cases, facilitate efficient transitions between surgical procedures, and manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia. A key part of your day involves using appropriate body mechanics to move patients safely and reviewing charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols.
