This role is designed for a passionate Operating Room RN ready to join a team that values the patient experience. You will serve as a vital member of our ambulatory surgery center, contributing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. Your primary mission is to ensure safe and effective nursing care from the moment you begin your shift until the patient is successfully transferred to recovery.
In this position, you will oversee instrument and equipment setup, utilizing preference cards to anticipate surgeons' needs. You will coordinate the room during cases, facilitate efficient transitions between surgical procedures, and manage patient care and medications, including assistance with anesthesia. A key part of your day involves using appropriate body mechanics to move patients safely and consistently reviewing charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols.
