This position is designed for a passionate Operating Room RN ready to jump-start their career in an ambulatory surgery center. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing your expertise in either the circulating or scrub role. Your primary mission is to ensure safe and effective nursing care from the moment you begin your shift until the patient is successfully transferred to recovery.
In this role, you will oversee instrument and equipment setup, utilizing preference cards to anticipate surgeons' needs. You will coordinate the room during cases, facilitate efficient transitions between procedures, and manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia. A key part of your day involves using appropriate body mechanics to move patients safely and reviewing charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols.
