We are seeking an experienced Ontology Engineer to design and build the OntoSphere Knowledge Graph (KG), serving as the canonical enterprise model that integrates SOPIA, ISO 20022, FIBO, PROV-O, and Client PayOps ontologies. This is a critical, front-loaded position with the highest impact during the initial phases (P0-P1) of ontology design and consensus building.
The successful candidate will define ontology standards, establish semantic relationships, and create a scalable knowledge graph architecture specifically tailored to support banking and payments operations. Following the initial implementation, the role transitions into a phase of consultation, governance, and maintenance during hyper-care and ongoing enhancements.
This role is preferred to be local to the New York/New Jersey area, though we remain open to candidates in other locations. Employment is available as either a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) or Full-Time Employee (FTE).
Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to navigate complex financial ontologies and their technical proficiency in semantic technologies. The process involves reviewing your experience with Knowledge Graph architectures and your approach to establishing consensus among diverse business and technical stakeholders.
