Join Amazon's mission to become Earth's safest place to work! At Amazon, we've set the ambitious goal to become the benchmark of safety excellence across all industries in which we operate. The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team sets the strategic direction to provide resources, best practices, and safe environments to proactively manage the health and wellbeing of our workforce.
In this position, you will work closely with the WHS Site Manager, WHS Specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). You will attend weekly associate safety committee meetings, greet all new hires for the site, or engage through daily one-on-one interactions. Additionally, the Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) will participate in weekly case management review meetings as necessary.
As an OMR, you will independently assess and administer first aid, offering guidance to Amazon Associates on both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You should be passionate about learning and advocating health and wellness principles to consistently support associates on a daily basis. You will refer care to outside medical providers as needed and learn about OSHA regulations, risk, and analysis. The OMR functions as a vital part of the larger onsite team, assisting with all first aid needs and supporting safety operations.
If you do not currently hold an adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, you must obtain these within three weeks of your start date.
