About the Role

ICF seeks on-call field Archaeologists to assist with survey and excavation field work throughout the Southeastern United States. In this role, you will partner with senior archaeologists and historians to support critical environmental work. The position is ideal for those who recognize the importance of consistent procedures and protocols and possess excellent field skills, including artifact analysis and the maintenance of detailed field notes and records.

On-Call Employment Structure

Given the seasonal or project-specific nature of our environmental work, ICF often hires environmental professionals as "On-Call" employees. This arrangement offers flexibility: you will be scheduled for work hours as they become available (typically a few weeks in advance), and you are free to accept or refuse the hours assigned to you in any given week. On-Call employees may work on concurrent projects outside of their ICF assignment, provided there is no conflict of interest with your work for ICF.
