As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. You will provide services within the scope of practice defined by state laws, utilizing evidence-based techniques in coordination with the broader healthcare team. Your work involves evaluating patient functional status and body systems to develop therapy plans of care in consultation with physicians, while closely monitoring and reporting patient responses to treatment.
