About the Role
This position serves as a vital link in the daily coordination and delivery of occupational therapy services. You will focus on conditions and health diagnoses, implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients and groups in alignment with established department objectives.
Your day will involve evaluating patients from infancy through geriatrics, gathering data from records, interviews, and observations to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. You will use selected activities to promote health and achieve treatment goals, modifying strategies based on ongoing evaluations. The role requires planning therapy that respects each patient's physical, emotional, and intellectual capabilities, coordinating closely with rehabilitation, medical, and nursing care plans.
Beyond direct patient care, you will prepare essential documentation, including evaluation results and progress notes. You will communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care. Additionally, you will contribute to professional growth by participating in educational programs, sharing new knowledge with colleagues, and evaluating clinical internships with university-affiliated students.
