About the Team
The Metro Boston Mental Health Units of the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital are dedicated to helping people recover from illnesses and conditions that are often underserved or difficult to manage in other healthcare settings. Our team provides inpatient psychiatric services to adults with serious mental illness, with a core goal of enhancing autonomy, safety, and the return to the community.
Patients are treated by a multidisciplinary team led by attending psychiatrists, including psychologists, clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, peer specialists, and rehabilitative staff specializing in vocational, recreational, and expressive therapies. We utilize a variety of treatment modalities, including psychopharmacologic, psychotherapeutic, behavioral, cognitive, and milieu therapies.

Requirements
- verified1 year professional experience as an occupational therapist
- verifiedCurrent and valid Occupational Therapist license issued by the Board of Allied Health Professions

Nice to Have
Knowledge of and experience with working with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness on inpatient psychiatric service. Familiarity and comfort working with multidisciplinary teams to analyze complex problems, build consensus and implement organizational improvements. Bilingual or multilingual fluency.
