As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will play a vital role in assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status, activities of daily living, fine motor coordination, home assessments, and adaptive equipment. You will work within the scope of practice defined by state laws, utilizing evidence-based techniques to develop and implement plans of care in coordination with physicians and the broader healthcare team. Your work involves observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to treatment, ensuring that care is tailored to the unique environment and condition of each client.
