The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is home to the largest residency program in the field and likely the busiest clinical program in the United States. With over 100 faculty members, 209 classified staff, 72 residents, and 16 fellows, the department boasts a robust research program and excellent postgraduate training.
Our faculty practice across two complementary clinical settings: Parkland Health, where we serve a broad and underrepresented patient population, and William P. Clements University Hospital, which provides a tertiary, university-based environment. This unique combination offers exceptional breadth and depth of clinical experience.
We are seeking an academic leader to serve as the Division Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS). The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and the delivery of evidence-based clinical care.
In this role, you will lead integrated clinical and investigative programs that advance the department's strategic priorities. Your primary focus will be directing the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, ensuring excellence in patient care, providing medical education for students, residents, and fellows, and developing high-impact research that informs clinical practice.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
