The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is home to the largest residency program in the field and likely the busiest clinical program in the United States. With over 100 faculty members, 209 classified staff, 72 residents, and 16 fellows, the department boasts a robust research program and excellent postgraduate training.
Our faculty practice across two complementary clinical settings: Parkland Health, where we serve a broad and underrepresented patient population, and William P. Clements University Hospital, which provides a tertiary, university-based environment. This unique combination offers exceptional breadth and depth of clinical experience.
The Division Chief of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) will lead integrated clinical and investigative programs that advance the department's strategic priorities. This academic leader is responsible for directing the Division of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, ensuring excellence in patient care, medical education for students, residents, and fellows, and the development of high-impact research that informs clinical practice.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, research, and the delivery of evidence-based clinical care. While the position is primarily full-time, consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
